The 2011 Weekend Cincinnati Permaculture Design Certification!

With half the course to go, we have a warming of temps and an opening of hearts and minds to coincide with spring. The course has been a great learning experience for all of us, including the teachers working together and with the fabulous students that make up the 5th Permaculture Design Course that we have put on here in Cincinnati. This is a very design focused course with Sam Dunlap heading up the Dave Jacke influenced design process. Doug Crouch is anchoring with the design principles and Kathryn Grover is holding space for a safe learning environment. Overall the course is proving to be synchronistic and following with patterns emerging. To get a perspective on the course from one of the students visit the following page:

The course has been really fun so far and one of the events that typifies that is the latest design exercise that we put on with mock landscapes to get people to start thinking about several different types of climates while reinforcing the principles and ethics of permaculture. Check out the following pics of how one of the groups transformed this blank slate into a functional landscape during this blitz exercise.
